Appointments and promotions to associate professor on term in all divisions require approval by the appropriate divisional Tenure Appointments and Promotions Committee. A Term Appointments Committee, appointed by the President and chaired either by the Dean of Yale College or the Dean of the Graduate School, approves promotions to associate professor for those members of the non-tenured ladder faculty who remain governed by the appointments procedures in place before July 1, 2007.
