Submitting 2009 Student Prizes, Awards and Fellowships
It's time to prepare for the 2009 Commencement Student Prizes, Awards and Fellowships! To streamline the submission of Check Requests for this purpose, we recommend using a simplified spreadsheet approach. This will:
- Eliminate time-consuming collection of data by using student's UPI to pull existing Banner data for name, SSN, address, etc.
- Edit uploaded PTAEO and other data to ensure validity
- Automatically create the necessary vendor and invoice
data to make payments
- Simplify the process whether you have one Check Request
or many to submit

IMPORTANT
NOTE: This process is for payments to students
who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents with U.S.
addresses.
- Recipients will receive an enclosure with their prize/award/fellowship
explaining any tax withholding and contact information for
any questions. As required, tax forms will be mailed
the following year to the address captured by the associated
Check Request.
- For all transactions that are submitted by the end of
the business day on Friday, May 15, 2009, checks
will be ready for pick up by 5pm on Friday,
May 22, 2009. Accounts Payable will contact
business offices when checks are ready for pick up.
