All permanent signage, whether interior or exterior to the building, and whether located in public or staff areas, must be approved by the Director of Communications and designed in consultation with the Office of the University Printer. Temporary signs should be set in the Yale typeface, either in sentence case or small caps (letterspaced or “tracked” open about 10%). Type should be arranged to adhere to one axis—either all centered or all flush-left ragged right.
