Postdoc Orientation (PDO) is your guide to a successful Yale experience. This short 1.5 hour session will highlight the most important things you need to know as you start your postdoctoral training at Yale , including:
Salaries, raises, and pay day
Taxes
Benefits
Essential postdoc policies
Free memberships
Postdoc courses and workshops
Transportation, parking, and safety
Afterward, relax at Happy Hour and meet the Postdoctoral Affairs staff and other incoming and current postdocs.
Postdoc Orientation is not only useful and fun, it's mandatory for all new postdocs. Please sign up for the next available session by completing the Registration Process below. PDO is held every month at the School of Medicine.
Please note that ONLY Postdoctoral Associates and Postdoctoral Fellows are eligible to sign up for Postdoc Orientation. You are ineligible and should not sign up for Postdoc Orinetation if you hold any of the following titles: Research Affiliate, Visiting Fellow, Clinical Fellow, Associate Research Scientist, Staff Affiliate or Postgraduate Associate or Fellow.

Postdoc T-shirts are sold at every orientation. If you'd like to purchase a postdoc T-shirt for $7.00 (shown above, right) outside of orientation, please e-mail abby.davi@yale.edu to set up a time. Please note that we are only able to offer T-shirts to current postdocs. We are not able to take orders to be shipped.
