Yale postdoctoral positions are sometimes advertised in scholarly publications and online. Alternatively, many postdocs find positions by contacting Yale faculty members directly. A few open positions are advertised at the bottom of this page.
Once you find a position, your Yale department will assist you with the hiring process. The visa application process for international postdocs will be handled by your department and the Yale Office of International Students and Scholars. It often takes several months for a visa to be approved, and you should factor this time into your plans for coming to Yale.

Position Description: The Operations Management group at the Yale University School of Management is seeking a postdoctoral associate to assist and collaborate with faculty on their research. The Operations Management faculty has ongoing research projects in the areas of Health Care, Sustainability, and Homeland Security. The postdoctoral associate would be expected to have interests in some subset of these areas.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Operations Research or a related field and have strong mathematical and computing skills. The selected candidate must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and to continue working legally for the proposed term of the appointment.

Compensation: This is a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track appointment with possibility of extension. Annual salary is competitive and depends upon education and experience. The position includes medical benefits. Funds for some conference travel and research expenses will also be provided.

Post-doctoral research training position available in Hepatology to work with physician scientist. Investigations are focused on studies aimed at identifying the mechanisms underlying immune regulatory dysfunction in post-transplant allograft hepatitis and autoimmune hepatitis, and the role of environmental triggers in the induction of autoimmune liver disease. Interested candidates should have immunobiology experience and a strong interest in T-cell immunology, its regulation and signaling pathways. This position is also open to candidates who fulfill eligibility criteria for T-32 from the Yale Liver Center.

The Head and Neck Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology Laboratory within the Yale School of Medicine announces an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in biological sciences and experience in various cell and molecular biology techniques. Studies will be focused on development of targeted therapies for salivary gland cancers. Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas is required: cancer biology, stem cell biology, xenograft modeling of human tumors, and pre-clinical studies on mouse models. English proficiency with excellent presentation skills are important. The position is for at least 2 years.
