Welcome to Yale Polo
2005-2006

The Atlantic Cup 2006 took place this year from March
12-14 at the Yale Polo and Equestrian Center. Oxford came away victorious
with close matches against both Yale squads. Cambridge had a good showing
and finished third.
With the season finished for the year, the Yale Polo
Team would like to thank all it supporters! Check back in September
for an updated match schedule and other news.

2006 Regional competition
Held
this year at the University of Virginia, Yale Women returned home with
a wild card to the 2006 National Competion at Cornell University
The April (Fools) Cup
The April Cup is the one that really counts for all of the marbles.
Pitting the best and brightest Elis against each other, Yale Polo squared
off in some intrasquad competition. Team Da Bomb came away victorious
in 2006.

Interested in learning to play? Intrigued by the speed
and ability of the horses and participants? Come experience the excitement
of polo for yourself…
The Yale Polo and Equestrian Center offers lessons for
beginning and experienced riders. We provide horses, equipment and the
instruction – you supply the enthusiasm!

Ox Ridge Hunt Club
An annual match between Yale and UVA alumni, this wildly
popular event took place at Ox Ridge Hunt Club in Darien, Connecticut
on September 24. Yale Alumni came away with a 10-7 victory over UVA.
As one Yale Daily News article put it, "When you see
horses galloping and Aston Martins parked for fancy tailgates, you know
you are at a polo match." Click here for

Did you know?
The Yale Polo and Equestrian Center is housed in the armory,
which was built by the army in 1916 to train calvary.
