Robert E. Lane

R.E. Lane, Eugene Meyer Professor Emeritus of Political Science, is a Fellow of the British Academy, a past President of the American Political Science Association, and a past President of the International Society of Political Psychology. His publications include The Loss of Happiness in Market Democracies, The Market Experience; Political Man; Political Thinking and Consciousness; Political Ideology; The Liberties of Wit; Political Life; The Regulation of Businessmen; Public Opinion (with D. Sears); and An Introduction to Political Analysis (with J.D. Barber and F. Greenstein).
