Light – Atoms Quantum Interface
Abstract: Quantum states are vulnerable objects which cannot be copied or identified by measurements. In this respect one of the fundamental goals in quantum mechanics is to identify what is possible and what is impossible to do with an unknown quantum state. We will discuss recent experiments where a faithful and deterministic transfer of quantum states between light and matter has been demonstrated.
