Lectures are intended to complement rather than reproduce the complete presentation of the material in the text. Individual topics will be selected from the reading assigned for each lecture, to be discussed and reinforced through the use of demonstrations, videos and interactive exercises. At the beginning of each class you can pick up a copy of the lecture notes as you enter.  There will be topics on the problem sets and exams that will not be covered in lecture - for these, you must read the assigned readings.

Office Hours:

Wednesdays and Fridays 1:00-2:30 in SPL37, or at any other time by appointment. Questions about lecture material or problem sets can be sent at any time by email to me or to Prof. MacDowell or Dr. Finch. I will try to reply the same day, and also post the answer on the web page if appropriate.
