PHYSICS 180a, Fall 2000
Advanced General Physics
COURSE SYLLABUS

Exams:

There will be three exams each covering about 1/3 of the course. The first two exams will be given at 8:00 PM in the evening on Tuesday, 10/10/00 and Monday, 11/6/00 in OML 202, approximately 1/3 and 2/3 through the semester. The third exam will be given during the final exam period in the time slot assigned to this course (Monday, 12/18/00 @ 2:00 pm). The third exam is not cumulative - it will not specifically cover the material of the first 2 (although the course does naturally build on earlier material to some extent).  All exams will last 90 minutes.

Questions regarding the grading of individual exam problems must be addressed to the instructor who graded the problem. The necessary information will be available on the "News" page when the graded exams are handed back.

Makeup Exams:

Makeup exams will be offered to students who have received Dean's excuses covering the day of the exam. These excuses must be presented to Prof. Gibble in as timely a manner as possible. For the first two exams, the makeup will be given one week after the original exam. The makeup for the third exam is scheduled in January by the Yale College Registrar's office.
