Pathways Peer Counseling

Pathways is Yale's peer counseling hotline staffed entirely by queer Yale students. We offer information about campus and non-campus groups, referrals to agencies and queer-friendly therapists, and a chance to talk things out. Call us if you are thinking about coming out, have trouble in a relationship, just had a friend come out to you and don't know what to do, or need to talk about any issue. All calls are strictly confidential. Our phone number is 432-1585. If we are not there, the message on the voice mail will tell you our days and hours.

In addition to counseling and providing referrals, Pathways performs a number of activities designed to raise consciousness about queer issues. Some of these activities include:

  • Presenting to other peer counseling groups
  • Putting public service announcements on the radio
  • Making public every year a list of the freshperson counselors who are out and willing to be contacted about queer issues by freshpeople in any college
