About Student Parking

Parking at the University is limited, and spaces are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Yale has an extensive shuttle system that is free to the University community, and the shuttles' locations can be viewed in real time. The local transit district, CTTransit also provides access throughout the greater New Haven area. Students who must bring a car to campus may pay to park in a Yale garage, a Yale surface lot, or in private sector parking.

The summer 2008 parking rate for central campus is $210 for the period June 1 through August 31, 2008

PARKING ON THE CENTRAL CAMPUS:

Graduate or undergraduate resident students living in residential colleges, annexes, or graduate and professional dormitories (except Divinity Students) are offered parking in the Pierson-Sage Garage.  Pierson-Sage is a University-owned garage operated by the Yale Parking and Transit Services Department.  Located at the corner of Whitney Avenue & Edwards Street, the garage consists primarily of covered spaces, and uncovered spaces on the roof.

There is a two-tier fee structure for student parking depending on the lot of choice. Please contact the YSM Parking/Transit office 785-6456 for details. Payment for parking is on a full semester basis only. Acceptable forms of payment are bank card, credit card, personal check, cash or bursar billing. You may also request parking online:
