About Faculty and Staff Parking
Parking at Yale University and within the City of New Haven is limited. To ensure parking availability and to administer an equitable parking system the Yale Parking Service issues parking permits. Permits are issued for specific lots within the Yale parking system. The University grants permits and makes parking lot assignments based upon a salary classification system. Annual fees and other associated permit costs are announced by the Parking Service prior to the start of the academic year.
On workdays, the lots are reserved for permittees from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. During non-working hours, most lots are open to all vehicles from 4:00 PM to 7:30 AM weekdays, and all day and night over the weekend. Exceptions to this policy are noted on lot signs.
To obtain permits and/or passes for parking at the University, application must be made to the Parking Office in person or by mail/fax. Application form is online here. The Yale Parking office is located on the lobby floor at 2 Whitney Avenue (next to the Yale Treasurer's Office) and is open between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Daily Parking
Staff members who need to park in a University lot on an occasional basis may purchase daily passes at the parking office. If parking at the Yale School of Medicine, daily passes for the Amistad Garage can be purchase for up to five passes at a time.

Surface lots and parking garages throughout the medical campus are available for all staff members. Fees are based on salary. Space allocation is based on staff function, space availability, and seniority. All lots and garages are monitored by security personnel, and some also include cameras and restricted access. Event Parking
By individual arrangement, we offer group parking for single and multi day events. If you will be hosting meetings, conferences, daily training sessions, please call us to pre-arrange parking for your guests.
Charter Services
We can help with your busing needs for office picnics, professional events, and any type of activity which will require group transportation. These are billable services which can be arranged on your behalf.
