The state of Connecticut
prohibits work discrimination both in private and in public employment.
Discrimination is prohibited both on the basis of sexual orientation and on
the basis of gender identity. The State of Connecticut
offers same-sex domestic partners health insurance and pension benefits.

Private, consensual, non-commercial sexual acts involving adult
people of the same sex are legal throughout the US
since the Supreme Court sentence in
Lawrence vs. Texas of June 2003.
In fact, in Connecticut, they have been legal since 1971.
The city of New Haven prohibits work discrimination

Right today (May 5th,
2003) the New Haven
boar of Alderpersons rejected the creation of a domestic partner registry.
