Emergency Psychological Support
For emergency psychological support during business hours (8:30am to 5:00pm weekdays) call the Mental Hygiene Department (203) 432-0290 and specify that it is an emergency. After hours call the Urgent Care Department at (203) 432-0123.
Ongoing Psychological Support
Psychological support is offered by YUHS through their Counseling Service (called Mental Hygiene Department). Call (203) 432-0290.

Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Services
24-hour confidential hotline. SACS counselor is available to meet survivor at Yale New Haven Hospital Emergency Department for emotional support. At hospital, morning-after pill, STD tests and treatment, and rape evidence kit available.
Free and confidential. One week for results

Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project
Based in New York.
Their hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Their professional counselors and trained volunteers offer emotional and practical support to victims of violence. Support is available in both English and Spanish. All calls are confidential, and callers can remain anonymous.
