Lighting & Sound
The OUP maintains an inventory of lighting equipment and accessories in a storage facility in the basement of Trumbull College. Two separate sound packages are also available based on the size of the venue/production involved. This equipment is made available at a rate substantially below market rates as a service to students of Yale College. If you have questions regarding this service, or to arrange a rental, contact Janie Flowers in the OUP.
In order to take advantage of this service your production team is required to include at least one person who has demonstrated proficiency with the equipment. For instance, lighting equipment will only be rented to an individual who has attended both the Ladder/Scaffold Safety and the Basic Lighting & Electricity workshops offered by the OUP. Only this approved individual will be allowed to arrange and sign for rentals.
