OTYC continues on its mission to produce two fully-staged operas and several smaller productions a year on the Yale campus, with a special commitment to bringing opera beyond its traditional audiences.

Yale Children’s Theater (YCT)
www.yale.edu/yct
Yale Children's Theater is an undergraduate organization dedicated to bringing theater to children and youth in the New Haven area. Our mission is simply to give kids a fun, exciting way to build on their creativity, cooperation skills, and most importantly, confidence. We fulfill this mission throughout the year with five main activities: workshops of all kinds in schools, libraries, hospitals, and community centers; productions that tour around New Haven; original shows featuring children in local public schools; a traveling group of students called the Stage and Story Troupe; and on-campus activities targeted mainly at Yale students.

Yale Drama Coalition (YDC)
www.yale.edu/ydc
The Yale Drama Coalition (YDC) was founded in 1999 to foster a union of student voices impassioned by theater at Yale. The YDC seeks to bridge the gap between the Theater Studies major and undergraduate, extra-curricular theater, and attempts to improve the conditions of both. The YDC offers the means, in the form of the YDC board, through which students can actively engage in work on year-long projects to better theatrical life on campus. The board consists of a president, secretary, treasurer, and several members who act as project coordinators. Elections of board members are held at the end of spring semesters. Roughly 250 undergraduates will be actively involved with YDC activities.
