Risk Management
Users of a Yale facility for a non-Yale sponsored event must be insured for liability and must give evidence of such coverage (an insurance certificate) to the Event Office booking your event and to the Office of Risk Management prior to the event. Users not having their own insurance are welcome to use the Tenant Users Liability Program (TULIP) as an option to purchase the required general liability insurance that Yale requires. Information regarding the TULIP policy may be found under Special Programs at www.yale.edu/riskmanagement. Please note that this is an on-line program & coverage may not be available for all event types. Use of this program is not a guarantee for insurance.
Any student group mounting a theatrical or special event on the Yale campus should review the information available at www.yale.edu/riskmanagement, the Risk Management website, especially those that may be considering hiring outside professionals or contractors. Some areas of special interest:
Student Interest Topics
Contracts for External Consultants and Other Professional Services

We try to never say, "no you can't." Please keep us informed of the activities your group is considering so we can work together to minimize the risk.
