Doors:
versation On Sexual
The relationship between Sexual Orientation and Christianity ranks as one of the hottest topics in our culture today. The intensity of the controversy is in some ways not surprising; after all, both religion and sexual orientation lie at the core of human identity. Unfortunately, many of the most strident voices in this debate are ones stifling true dialogue with intolerance and brash condemnation of opinons that differ from their own. The Opening Doors: Entering A Conversation On
Sexual Orientation And Christianity symposium, taking place this February
2000 at Yale University, invites you to engage in a conversation exploring
the complex and often misconstrued relationship between Christianity and
Sexual Orientation. Be a part of a discussion drawing together people
from many backgrounds and faith traditions, from inside and outside of
Yale. Participate in a dialogue aimed to question assumed divisions
and increase interaction and cooperation between Christian communities
and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered (LGBT) communities.
Join us in a precedent-setting event, where together we will open new doors
in this ongoing debate.
