Welcome to Yale! We are excited that you have joined our community and look forward to introducing you to the campus and life at Yale and in New Haven. Yale University is host to more than 2000 international scholars (postdocs, visiting scholars, scientists and faculty) from 100 countries.

exclaimNew international scholars arrive at Yale throughout the year. Soon after you arrive in New Haven you must check in with OISS. In addition to making certain that your immigration papers are in order, a member of the OISS staff will meet with you to go over a number of matters that will be important to you as you settle in at Yale. This will include information about practical matters, getting to know the campus and community, and finding social connections that will help with your transition from home to Yale.
