Hop on the chartered "OISS Bus" to West Point Military Academy and Woodbury Outlet Mall. First stop will be the Outlet Mall. Then in the afternoon, the bus will head over to West Point Military Academy, where a special tour has been arranged.
Limited to 50 people, so don't wait!
Cost: $35 per person for round trip bus transportation. Payment must be received at the time of sign-up at the OISS. No refunds will be given, but you can transfer your ticket to another person. (In the event that you wish to transfer your ticket, contact warrena.wilkinson@yale.edu for names on the waiting list.) Each person is responsible for individual expenses throughout the day (meals, shopping, etc.).
You should wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for the weather. (We will be going rain or shine!) The bus ride is approximately 2 hours long. Feel free to bring the morning paper and your coffee and donut for the bus ride.
Meet at the International Center (421 Temple Street) at 7:45 a.m. Bus departs at 8:00 a.m. The bus returns to New Haven around 8:00 p.m. It is highly recommended that you do not miss the return bus. If you miss the return bus, you will be responsible for the cost of transportation back to New Haven and no refund will be given by OISS.

Take a chartered bus to beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. You have the day to go exploring on your own. There is a lot to see and do in Newport — visit a historic mansion, walk along the Cliff Walk, take a boat tour, rent a scooter/moped, shop, dine out or have a picnic lunch. There are not many options for alternate return transportation. Greyhound only has one daytime bus per day leaving from Newport to New Haven. (The last Greyhound bus leaves at 3 p.m. and takes over 8 hours to get back to New Haven -- not a good option.)

Hop on the chartered “OISS bus” to Boston. Spend the day exploring on your own ‐ sightseeing, visiting museums, shopping, dining out (have some authentic New England Chowder, pronounced “chowdah”). You will have the option of following your “OISS host,” Parker Emerson (former Harvard staff) in the morning for a guided tour around Harvard Square in Cambridge. No refunds will be given – but you can transfer your ticket to another person (in the event that you wish to transfer your ticket, please contact parker.emerson@yale.edu for names on the waiting list). Each person is responsible for all his/her expenses that day (meals, city public transportation costs, tour/museum costs and miscellaneous shopping expenses).
You should wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for the weather (we will be going rain or shine!). The bus ride is approximately 2.5 hours long. Feel free to bring the morning paper and your coffee & donut for the bus ride. We will meet early that morning at 7:45am (the bus departs promptly at 8am) and will be arriving back around 8pm at the OISS, 421 Temple Street (in front of the building).
It is highly recommended that you do NOT miss the return bus. If you miss the return bus, you are then responsible for the cost of transportation back to New Haven and no refund will be given by the OISS. Your options for getting home would be either by bus (Greyhound – approximately $35 one way; last bus leaves at 9:30pm and arrives in New Haven at 12:50am) or by train (Amtrak – approximately $47 one way; last train leaves at 9:45pm and arrives in New Haven at 12:20am).
