Yale Campus Tour
The Yale Visitor’s Center will provide us with a
glimpse into the history and architecture of the University. The tours
start at the Yale Visitor Center at 149 Elm Street New Haven, CT 06511.
Though this tour, you’ll get to hear about Yale’s rich 300-year history
and aspects of student life at several of Yale’s twelve residential
Walk through downtown New Haven & bar hop
Come join us for a fun walk through New Haven as we explore some of the most notable touristic spots of the city! The stops will include Beinecke Plaza, Grove Cemetery, Sterling Memorial Library, the New Haven Green... and of course we'll introduce you to a couple of the most notable bars in downtown New Haven. We'll meet at the OISS and walk from there. Don't forget to bring cash for your purchase(s).

Bus trip to Boston, MA
Spend the day exploring the beautiful city of Boston on your own or with other Yale affiliates- sightseeing, visiting museums, shopping, or dining. You will also have the option of following your “OISS host”, Parker Emerson (former Harvard staff) in the morning for a guided tour around Harvard Square in Cambridge. Tip: You should wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for the weather (we will be going rain or shine!)
Visit to Lighthouse Point Park
A group of students and scholars will visit the Lighthouse Point Park and spend a leisurely evening at this scenic park. We’ll meet at the OISS, and take public transportation to the park. For more information about the park and its amenities, visit:

Yale Cabaret: The Life and Death of Doctor Faustus

Canoeing at East Rock Park
Trowbridge Environmental Center (East Rock Park)
Join us on this classic team-oriented activity, which requires minimum or no prior knowledge of paddling skills. The Parks and Rec team of certified instructors and canoe leaders will be there to provide you with ample opportunity for learning basic paddling techniques, and for wildlife observation. This is an event envisioned for adults or dependents who are at least 10 yrs old.

Movies at the Park: Casablanca

Every Friday at 8:30 from June 5th to August 28th, the New Haven Parks and Rec Department will show a movie in a different city park. This weekend's will be the classic A-list 1942 movie Casablanca, and it will be featured at Wooster Square!

Bus Trip to Newport RI

Take a chartered bus to beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. You have the day to go exploring on your own. There is a lot to see and do in Newport — visit a historic mansion, walk along the Cliff Walk, take a boat tour, rent a scooter/moped, shop, dine out or have a picnic lunch. Trip fee covers transportation only; you will be responsible for any other expenses. Space is limited!
