we are delighted that you will be joining our community. This Web site has been prepared to help answer some of the questions you may have about coming to Yale and New Haven. Visit it often! We'll be adding new information to this Web site regularly. If you are interested in applying to Yale, please refer to the admissions information on school or department Web sites.

The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) is your home away from home providing support to over 4000 international students, scholars, faculty, staff and their families at Yale. We organize programs and provide information to help you make the transition to this new community. OISS also serves as your resource on immigration matters and is Yale’s liaison to U.S. federal agencies.

We understand that you will have many questions about coming to Yale and New Haven and OISS is here to provide answers. If you can't find the answers to your questions on our Web site, please don't hesitate to contact our office at this special email address set up specifically for new students: newstudents.oiss@yale.edu.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Yale and New Haven!
