Use fsaATLAS eScholar to enter specific biographical and appointment data about your visiting scholars. OISS will use the information submitted to issue visiting scholars the proper immigration documents.

fsaATLAS eScholar Date Submission Guidelines These guidelines are based on the processing times of the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. embassies.

J-1 sponsorship:		A complete fsaATLAS eScholar record must be submitted at least 30 days before the scholar's start date at Yale.

Other sponsorship (H-1B, O-1, etc...):		A complete fsaATLAS eScholar record must be submitted at least 120 days before the scholar's start date at Yale.

	Students with work permission (F-1 OPT, J-1 Academic Training):	A complete fsaATLAS eScholar record must be submitted before the student can begin work at Yale.
