Bloodborne Pathogen Training

These mandatory training sessions consist of an initial training seminar that new "occupationally exposed" employees must attend and a retraining seminar that must be attended each year by those people who continually work with human materials or bloodborne pathogens.

Please visit the University's training website at: http://www.yale.edu/training to reserve a seat for a Bloodborne Pathogen training session. Or, you may download the pdf version of the BBP Self Study Guide here . You will be required to complete the quiz at the end of the guide and return the completed quiz to: OEHS, 135 College Street, 1st Floor, ATTN: BBP Training, to receive credit for the course.

There are also two types of Bloodborne Pathogen web trainings available on line.

Faculty and staff who complete the web-based Bloodborne Pathogen Training for Clinic or Patient Care Setting are eligible to receive CME credit from the Yale Continuing Medical Education Department.  The University designated this web-based training as an educational activity for a maximum of 1 Category 1 credit toward the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award
