Moving and Transporting Agents and Equipment
When appropriate, all decontamination requirements must
be performed before moving agents and/or materials.
When preparing to package and move potentially hazardous
materials OEHS recommendations for the safe packaging and
transport of these materials must be observed. A copy of
these recommendations is available from OEHS.
Employees of Yale University departments (ex. Custodial
Services) that provide moving services are not allowed
to handle hazardous materials of any type. This includes
agents or materials packed in boxes.
If transported off Yale University property hazardous
materials are subject to federal transportation regulations.
