Recombinant DNA Experiments

Yale Biological Safety Committee approval is required prior to the initiation of most nonexempt rDNA experiments. A brief description of nonexempt and exempt rDNA experiments are described in "rDNA Guideline Fact Sheet". Additional information is available in the "Work with Recombinant DNA (rDNA) Summary".

Complete "Yale University Registration of Recombinant DNA Experiments" to register your nonexempt rDNA work or to update your registration if you change the scope of your work. Copies of the "Guidelines for Research involving Recombinant DNA Molecules" (NIH Guidelines) are available through: http://www4.od.nih.gov/oba/rac/guidelines/guidelines.html. Contact Safety Advisor or EHS for questions or further information.
