cabinets work, limitations of biological safety cabinets,
proper technique when working in a biological safety cabinet,
and certification and repair procedures. It is recommended

Transport/Transfer of Hazardous Biological
Materials
This course reviews the shipping regulations from the
Centers for Disease Control, the Department of Transportation
(DOT), and the International Air Transport Association
(IATA). Packaging, permits, shipping declaration forms,
labels, and emergency response are among items that will
be addressed. This is a mandatory course designed to fulfill
performance-specific training requirements for employees
sending, transporting, or receiving infectious substances.
IATA requires documentation of shipping training at 2
