Working at Animal Biosafety Levels 1, 2 and 3

The following videos describe the procedures animal handlers should follow when working at animal biosafety level 1, 2 or 3.  Each video provides guidance on a wide range of topics including donning and doffing personal protective equipment, decontamination of work areas, handing of animals, working with sharps, and transporting animals. 

Overview of Risk Assessment and Risk Management

This video provides an overview of the risk assessment and risk management evaluation conducted on all animal protocols prior to beginning work with animals.  It provides a brief introduction into the items that must be considered in the risk assessment and how identified risks are managed in the protocol's risk management plan.

Web streamed videos can be viewed at your workstation as long as you have RealOne player installed on your computer system and and have an internet connection capable of sustaining a 250 Kbyte/second baud rate (T1, DSL, Cable, etc). You can not view these movies if you are connected to the internet with a 56K dial up modem. To view a movie click on the image adjacent to the movie title and description.
