General Information

The registration fee with meals is $275 ($175 for students), and without meals $150 ($50 for students).  For those unable to attend the entire conference: Thursday and Friday registration fee is $75, or $125 with meals; Saturday and Sunday registration fee is $75, or $150 with meals.

The registration fee without meals includes all sessions, plus refreshment breaks, and transportation to events off campus (Saturday and Sunday). The registration fee with meals includes all sessions, refreshment breaks, transportation to events off campus, lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Friday and Saturday. Deadline for registration is April 26, 2000 at which time registrants will be mailed written confirmation and further conference details. Conference packets and name badges will be available at conference registration. To register print a registration form, fill it out, and send to Yale University at the address on the form. Payments with credit card can be faxed to (203) 432 7345.

Accommodations

Rooms have been reserved at three area hotels: The Holiday Inn, ($84 single or double, 800-THE-holiday), The New Haven Hotel ($90 single, $105 double, 800-NH-HOTEL), and the New Haven Grand Chalet ($68 single or double, 203 562 1111). Reservations should be made by April 20, 2000. To reserve a room, please contact the hotels directly and state that you will be attending Yale's "Good in Nature and Humanity" conference..

Transportation

By Air: TweedÐNew Haven Airport is a ten minute taxi ride from downtown New Haven and is served by US Airways Commuter Service. Taxi cost is about $10. Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT is one hour away and served by all major airlines. Connecticut Limo (800 472 5466) offers shuttle service from Bradley to and from New Haven's Long Wharf Terminal. The New York area airports-Kennedy, LaGuardia, Westchester and Newark-are two to three hours away and are also served by Connecticut Limo.

By Train: Amtrak and MetroNorth Commuter offer frequent service to New Haven's Union Station; taxis from the train station to downtown cost about $6. Additionally, Peter Pan and Greyhound bus lines serve New Haven.
