An Afternoon of Harpsichord Music
performed by students of Richard Rephann
Program
This spring seven talented Yale students in the studio of Richard Rephann had the rare opportunity to perform on restored antique harpsichords from the Collection. They experienced the challenges
and rewards of playing instruments built by makers who were contemporaries of the composers whose works were represented on the program.
Left to right: Richard Rephann, Kristin Naragon, Brian Harlow, Santana Haight, Frederick Teardo, Mina Choi, and Timothy Spelbring. (Not in photograph: Woo Sug Kang)
Featured Selection
Listen to Frederick Teardo perform the Gigue from J. S. Bach's English Suite in D minor on the grand two-manual harpsichord made by Johann Adolph Hass in Hamburg, ca. 1760.
