Oral History American Music Project receives Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Grant

The Yale University Library's Oral History American Music, the premiere ongoing project dedicated to the preservation of memoirs in the voices of musicians and composers, recieved a grant of $294,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. more

April 7 | David Lang '83MMA won the 2008 Pultizer Prize for music with his piece The Little Match Girl Passion, which was commissioned by Carnegie Hall for Paul Hillier's Theatre of Voices. The Pulitzer site has the citation and more information on the composer.
