Ralph Molina

College: Jonathan Edwards
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Lubbock, TX

Activities: Club Baseball, Delta Kappa Epsilon, and Whaling Crew

About: I'm from Lubbock, Texas (I know you've never heard of it), and I am the only person in the association who can rock a pair of cowboy boots. I love following college football, professional baseball, and the constant success of the great Vinay Nayak (In case you've unfortunately never heard him speak: I'm a huge fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Texas Rangers, and the Princeton Mock Trial Team (as is Daniel Stern). I typically spend my weekends hanging out at DKE, reading over the rules of evidence, or with a bottle of merlot and a nice romcom in my common room. Yep, that's pretty much me.
Skyler Ross

College: Morse
Major: Political Science and Theater Studies
Hometown: Stamford, CT

Activities: Theater, Yale Leadership Institute, Yale Daily News

About: I smile. A LOT.
Loryn Helfmann

College: Pierson
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: South Orange, NJ

Activities: ReadySetLaunch, Yale Splash

About: Loryn competed on her high school Mock Trial team in New Jersey - the best state - for three years before coming to Yale. Things she enjoys include listening to Eminem (especially in trial), color-coding her case packet, and Loryn plans to go to law school when she graduates.
Alex Feiock

College: Calhoun
Major: Chemistry
Hometown: Fort Myers, FL

Activities: Class (sometimes)

About: Alex lives on a kind-of-farm in Florida, where he spent more hours of his childhood than he'd like to admit climbing fences, pouring grain, and carrying hay. He can poorly execute many types of accents, and wants to learn how to cut people open and look at their insides for a living. He has more goats than friends.
Raymond Zhu

College: Trumbull
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Alamo, CA

Activities: Mock Trial, AIESEC, Mock Trial, Research Assistant at SOM

About: Everybody loves me.
Olivia Walker

College: Branford
Major: Geology and Geophysics
Hometown: Santa Barbara, CA

Activities: Yale Belly Dance Society, Yale Club Geo, Branford College Council, Branford Buttery Co-Manager, and Branford Intramural Sports

About: Olivia has competed as a fake attorney/fake doctor/fake scientist/fake crying girl in Mock Trial tournaments for a non-insignificant fraction of her life now (more than 25%). In her free time she enjoys making the strenuous walk to the gym to play a real man's sport (Intramural inner-tube water polo), and then congratulating herself with Little Debbie's Swiss Rolls and Game of Thrones. Olivia is unsure what she wants to do with her life, but she knows it's between Law School, Medical School, and Geophysics fieldwork in a tropical locale, such as Costa Rica.
Daniel Stern

College: Saybrook
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Baltimore, MD

Activities: Yale Football (coaches' asst.), Yale All-Access (Sports Broadcaster and Producer), Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, Yale Daily News, Saybrook intramurals

About: Daniel Stern (b. 1994) is best known as the inspiration for HBO's acclaimed show "The Wire." Constantly arrested on the streets of Baltimore, Daniel was exposed to the law at a very early age. Through middle and high school, he spent most days in courthouses answering lawyers' questions as the defendant in his own criminal trials. He joined Yale Mock Trial to get back at society by flipping the scripts. Now he's the one asking the questions. Get at him.
Andrew Tran

College: Berkeley
Major: Political Science
Hometown: Irvine, CA

Activities: Yale International Relations Association, The Yale Historical Review, pick-up soccer, Trivial Pursuiting

About: Andrew was born and raised in Southern California, where he grew up playing soccer, biking to the beach on weekends, and eating In-N-Out Burger (which he wishes existed on the East Coast). His favorite animal is the mola mola.

Andrew fell in love with Mock Trial when he first joined during his freshman year of high school. He loves the program at Yale even more and plans on continuing to the end of his Yale career! Before he decided to pursue a career in law, Andrew had wanted to be an aquarium cleaner so he could swim with all the really cool sea creatures, or a soccer player for Manchester United, or Willy Wonka. He will actually love you forever if you can identify this drawing:

Johnny Golding

College: Ezra Stiles
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: London, U.K.

Activities: Umm... Uhh... [*gulps*]

About: Johnny crossed the Atlantic in pursuit of the American Dream but settled for a spot in the YMTA. A Portuguese resident since 1999, he's a fan of floral swimwear, but won't wear shorts because they're just swimming trunks you can't go swimming in. He also owns a rabbit named Darwin. If you spot him outside, don't approach too quickly or loudly because he's a little shy. He makes up for this with great litter box habits, but some members of the YMTA have started to question why, aged 21 and currently enrolled in college, he won't just use a toilet like everyone else.
Clé Dupuy

College: Calhoun
Major: Philosophy
Hometown: Toledo, OH

Activities: Running

About: As a white male from a middle class suburb in Ohio, I'd say the most striking/inexplicable thing about me is my love for old school gangsta rap. I can't really relate to anything they rap about, but boy can those guys make music. Aside from that I just finished DS which took up a ton of time, but since that time will be free next year I hope to branch out not only in Mock Trial but also in other activities on campus as well as groups that reach out to the broader New Haven area.
Robert Peck

College: Berkeley
Major: History
Hometown: Riverton, WY

Activities: YHHAP, the YULR, and the Yale Daily News (kind of, maybe)

About: I have large feet and a bulbous nose. My witnesses commonly wear bow ties. This fact makes said witnesses marginally less interesting, if anything.
Connie Wang

College: Timothy Dwight
Major: Psychology
Hometown: Santa Barbara, CA

Activities: Clark Relationship Science Lab, ACME Lab, New Haven Reads

About: Hi everyone! My name is Connie, and I'm from Santa Barbara, California (a city that has produced an unusually high number of YMTA members). I was on my high school's Mock Trial team for three years and absolutely loved it, so I always knew Mock Trial was something I would want to continue doing at Yale. I'm planning on majoring in psychology, so my main activity besides Mock Trial is working as a research assistant in the Clark Relationship Science Lab and ACME (Automaticity in Cognition, Motivation, and Evaluation) Lab. Other than that, I suppose my interests include running, reading Yale PostSecret, sleeping, and watching Parks and Rec!
Allison Durkin

College: Ezra Stiles
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: West Pittston, PA

Activities: Production and Design for the Yale Daily News, the Dramat, Yale Aids Support Coalition

About: From West Pittston, born and raised, in New Haven is where she spent most of her days — chilling out, acting, being pretty cool, laying out papers for the Yale Daily News — when a couple of mockers, who were up to no good, started winning trophies in the neighborhood. She went to one info session and she thought that was great. She thought, "I want to play a fake witness for the YMTA."
Ella Wood

College: Stiles
Major: Ethics, Politics, and Economics
Hometown: Albuquerque, NM

Activities: Independent Party of the YPU, Students Unite Now, Ready Set Launch

About: Ella Wood knows all of your secrets.
Wendy Cai

College: Branford
Major: Psychology
Hometown: Germantown, MD

Activities: WYSE, Yale Review of Undergraduate Research in Psychology, Codi's Hats

About: Since joining mock, Wendy has thoroughly enjoyed adding an MD PhD to her name. The thing is, some things, sadly, just aren't meant to be.
Jeffrey Guo

College: Pierson
Major: Undeclared (for now)
Hometown: Riverside, CA

Activities: Yale Symphony Orchestra

About: Jeffrey wasn't sure about too many things when he committed to Yale. What would he major in? Would he be doomed to 4 years in middle-of-nowhere TD? Could he even survive a New England winter? What he was sure about, though, was trying out for the YMTA. Because after having way too much fun doing Mock Trial at Riverside Poly High School for 3 years, he wasn't about to give it up just yet.

But when Jeffrey isn't writing a killer cross, fleshing out case theories, or getting berated by Loryn for cutting it "way too f---ing close" on time for closings, he plays violin in and works as a librarian for the YSO. He also makes sure he stays on top of his favorite TV shows (South Park, New Girl, and Community), gets a lot of sleep, keeps his Tetris/Ruzzle skills sharp, and spends a little too much time with his close-knit group of friends. Anything to procrastinate, really. After all, it's more fun that way.
Lionel Rodriguez

College: Branford
Major: Neuropsychology
Hometown: Santa Barbara, CA

Activities: Sexual Literacy Forum, Fence Club, and Student Life in Branford College

About: Lionel Rodriguez is a Psychology Neuroscience Major from Santa Barbara, CA. Outside of Mock Trial, he is involved with the Sexual Literacy Forum at Yale and is a member of Fence Club. He also enjoys playing soccer, going on runs, eating wenzels (God's food), and watching Game of Thrones, the best TV show ever made!
Corinne Ruth

College: Saybrook
Major: Psychology
Hometown: Santa Barbara, CA

Activities: Community Health Educators, Yale LDSSA, Yale Children's Theater, Mind Matters

About: Corinne enjoys baby animals, inflatable bounce houses, and BOJing. The YMTA will never be able to get rid of her.

Breanne Porter

College: Davenport
Major: Political Science

About: Breanne Porter [bree-ann poor-tur] (n):

1. lover of senators, sunscreen, and Starbucks
2. political science major at Yale, mostly by default
3. devotee of Arrested Development, The Office, Parks and Rec, basically everything on HBO, and, embarrassingly, horrible reality shows like the Bachelor/Bachelorette.
4. reader of trash romances, Buzzfeed articles, twitter feed, anything by Khaled Hosseini, feminist arguments, and real news on (if desperate).
5. fan of whistling, elephants, shady spots, WaWa smoothies, family members, people who laugh at my jokes, and anyone in a bow tie or top hat.
6. most importantly, a loving and devoted member of the smartest, coolest, sexiest, and overall best group of people that there has ever been (the Yale Mock Trial Association, of course)

Origin: December 8, 1993 (somewhere in the middle of the First State)

Eleanor Runde

College: Ezra Stiles
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Seattle, WA

Activities: Club Lacrosse, Yale Daily News Contributing Reporter

About: Eleanor had never heard of Mock Trial before arriving at Yale, but decided to join because she thought it might land her a cameo on "Suits." Outside of Mock Trial, she can be found climbing the stairs to her fifth-floor dorm room, struggling through Directed Studies, and speaking Italian to no one in particular.
Travis Tor Hutchinson

College: Timothy Dwight
Major: Economics and Cognitive Science
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

Activities: Yale Urban Fellow Program, Timothy-Dwight Master's Aide, Yale Russian Chorus

About: Born in the far away land of Brooklyn, NY, Trav has always been a keen witness -- to the beauties and uglinesses of the world. At age 4, Travis' mom accused him and his friends of stealing from the cookie jar...while his friends got red from embarrassment, Travis pleaded the fifth like a cool cucumber.

Many compare him to a Dolphin: cute, smart, does ridiculous things sometimes, but don't let that fool you, he can be lethal with his combination of legal words, intense stares, and Taekwondo (alright scratch the last one). He has a weak spot for dark chocolate, tea, and good conversation.
Minsun Cha

College: Pierson
Major: Undecided
Hometown: Seoul, South Korea

Activities: Consummate tea drinking

About: Having been a TCK all her life, Minsun is frequently thrown in to an existential crisis by the harmless introductory question, 'where are you from?'. She currently divides her time between Seoul, Singapore, New Haven and various other places, but has yet to conquer Antarctica. Her love for travel, sleep, moscato and EDM can only be rivalled by her passion for this new venture into Mock Trial.
Chloe Larkin

College: Ezra Stiles
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Portland, OR

Activities: Yale UNICEF

About: Chloe is from Portland, Oregon. She did Mock Trial for three years in high school and is excited to continue being emotionally invested in fictional witnesses. At Yale, Chloe anticipates studying global health issues, weathering a real winter for the first time, and enjoying life in the best residential college on campus (GFM!).
Jonathan Esty

College: Davenport
Major: Undeclared, English or Political Science
Hometown: Cheshire, CT

Activities: The Politic, College Dems, Road Runners, Model UN Team at Yale

About: Prefers being right to surrendering an inch of ground, a tactic which has served him well in relationships. When not arguing with people, he practices in anticipation of one day being one more Dead White Male Writer.
Vanessa Holman

College: Ezra Stiles
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: West Orange, NJ

Activities: SML Stacks Ninja!

About: This is Vanessa. She likes food, babies, Harry Potter, henna tattoos, Arctic Monkeys, frosty primates, bad tv shows, better tv shows, singing, acting, the color teal, and making new friends. If you pass her on the street, strike up a conversation about her unruly obsessions for Robert Pattinson and Ryan Gosling or just about how generally lame her bio is.
Nasos Abuel

College: Pierson
Major: Political Science and History
Hometown: Athens, Greece

Activities: The Globalist, Global 21, Yale Hellenic Society

About: Born and raised under the warm sun of the Mediterranean, I love everything that has to do with the sea and summer time. I also love to talk politics, history, music, soccer, and basketball. I believe life is the greatest gift that God has bequeathed humanity and I am committed wholeheartedly to my friends and family. I hope one day to make a difference in the world!
Simone Seiver

College: Pierson
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Palo Alto, CA

Activities: Freshman Class Council, West Wing Weekly, Pierson IMs

About: Simone is from Palo Alto, California, where she spent most of of her time complaining about the weather. In her free time, she enjoys stalking Justice Elena Kagan and listening to This American Life. She plans to major in whatever she has the most classes in by the end of Sophomore year.
Kerry Burke-McCloud

College: Morse
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Jacksonville Beach, FL

Activities: Yale Dramat, Usher at the Yale Repertory Theatre, anything having to do with Classical Civilizations!

About: Kerry was born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Back home, Kerry taught Taekwondo for 5 years to people of all ages and was heavily involved in both the Florida and National Junior Classical League. He took 3 years of law classes at his high school, Fletcher High School (Go Senators!) and participated in high school Mock Trial during that time. His perfect world involves becoming a high school Latin teacher/college consultant/Equity Actor (in that order! SHEESH!). When not working, Kerry enjoys long walks on the beach, drinking piña coladas in the pouring rain, and listening to showtunes. He is a complete chatterbox and cannot wait to meet his fellow and future mockers!
Priya Sundaresan

College: Pierson
Major: Economics
Hometown: Fremont, CA

Activities: AIESEC, Undergraduate Prison Project

About: Priya joined the Mock Trial team because she hopes to do this for real someday. If that doesn't work out, she'd prefer to take over for Patrick Jane as The Mentalist - at least for the next few seasons.
Eric Abney

College: Davenport
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: Sugar Land, TX

Andy Hill

College: Berkeley
Major: Political Science
Hometown: Honolulu, HI

Joe Li

College: Morse
Major: Undeclared
Hometown: London, U.K.

Activities: Yale Undergraduate Consulting Group, Roosevelt Institute, Club Squash

About: Coming to Yale was Joe's first time in the United States, where he stumbled on Mock Trial completely by chance. When he joined the association, he hadn’t considered law as a career, but now he spends his time fighting objection battles – a true samurai prefers death to the shame of defeat. In the future, Joe would like to work in either finance, or failing that, in interior decoration. Because if he doesn't make the boardroom of Goldman Sachs, the least he could do is to decorate it.
Shreyas Ravishankar
