Welcome

Mind Matters meets every Wednesday 5:30pm at the Mendell room in Branford College. Newcomers are always welcome!

Mind Matters is the undergraduate mental health awareness and education group on campus. Despite the increasing number of students reporting mental health concerns, there is still a taboo surrounding discussion of mental health issues.

Mind Matters has been created for anyone with a social/educational, advocacy-related , or personal interest in mental health issues. Our ultimate goal is to encourage a more open and tolerant atmosphere towards mental health among our college community.

    GOALS
  1. To create a forum for open discussion of mental health/illness on campus.
  2. To educate students about these issues through guest speakers, information sessions, student panels, and literature.
  3. To serve as a liaison between students and the mental health community.
  4. To help students get the support they need.
Note: We are not a provider of mental health care or a counseling service, but we can show students a variety of options available to them on campus.
