About the Author |
| Karen Kay did her graduate studies in the Linguistics Department at Yale University.
Her dissertation was on the development of Japanese verbal and adjectival inflections from
the eighth to the fifteenth centuries. Dr. Kay lived in Japan from 1973 to 1976, and
during that time ate her way from one end of the country to the other. |
