PIER-Middle East Studies

PIER-Middle East Studies, the newest of the YCIAS outreach efforts, endeavors to improve understandings of the countries, cultures, and languages of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia.

PIER-Middle East Studies presents a variety of on site and on campus professional development events and field study opportunities. It also offers consulting services, training to enhance international and intercultural understanding, curriculum development and evaluation, resource services, and enrichment opportunities for students in schools.

PIER-Middle East Studies is funded through the Council on Middle East Studies and by the United States Department of Education under Title VI of the Higher Education Act as a National Resource Center.
