Yale Fellowships Available for International Relations Students
Yale Fellowships Available for International Studies Students
Established by the Yale College Class of 1960 to honor the memory of their classmate, Les Aspin, a former member of Congress and United States Secretary of Defense. The fund supports Yale College undergraduates in summer internships related to the study of national security and international affairs, in the public or nonprofit private sector. The internships may be with a U.S. government agency, or a nonprofit corporation or non-governmental organization. Grants are awarded to sophomores and juniors with preference given to students in the International Studies Major.

Prizes are awarded to undergraduates for summer travel outside the United States to enhance students' understanding of foreign culture and/or international relations. Priority is given to students proficient in a foreign language, to students of Calhoun College, and to students enrolled in the International Studies major.
The Policy Studies Program in the International Affairs Council offers awards and grants to financially assist students in the Program who are engaged in various policy-related activities.
uating seniors, who are involved in international and area studies programs to support a semester abroad, research abroad, or an internship during the summer in an "emerging market" country. Beginning Spring 2008 these will be awarded by the International Education and Fellowship Programs Office.

Available to students in the MA program in International Relations. Grants may support unpaid internships. Priority will be given to unpaid internships abroad (but not in the recipient's home country). Summer research projects involving international travel may also be supported.

Please note that students in good standing within the International Studies major are given special attention in the two competitions administered through the International Affairs Council: the Les Aspin '60 International Public Service Fellowships and the Tristan Perlroth Prize for Summer Foreign Travel.
