Robert Lepenies, Global Justice Fellow
Robert Lepenies is a PhD candidate at the Hertie School of Governance (FU Berlin, WZB) and will be a Post-Doctoral Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, from 2013 on. Robert is the co-founder of Academics Stand Against Poverty Germany.
For the academic year of 2012/13 he was awarded a Fulbright-Schuman Fellowship at Yale. His dissertation "Losers in Trade - The Philosophy, Politics and Economics of Free Trade Advocacy" deals with normative questions in economic policy. He holds an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (with Distinction) and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. Robert has been a teaching assistant in the Master of Public Policy Programme at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. He has also been a visiting researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. His research interests lie in political philosophy, global governance and philosophy of economics.
