Ashok Acharya, Senior Global Justice Fellow and Henry Hart Rice Foundation Fellow

Ashok Acharya is Henry Hart Rice Visiting Associate Professor in Global Justice and South Asian Studies (2012-13) at the MacMillan Center and Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Joint Director, Developing Countries Research Centre at the University of Delhi. His publications include Political Theory: An Introduction (co-edited), Citizenship in a Globalizing World and Equality, Difference and Group Rights: The Case of India (forthcoming). He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto.  His research interests lie in contemporary political theory, including issues of social justice, diversity, and rights of groups; comparative inquiries in political philosophy; and, cosmopolitan ethics and politics.
