Africa Contact Database Project

Good day,

The Council on African Studies fields a variety of queries on a regular basis. These queries can come from anywhere and be about anything -- a student in Holland doing a report on Ghana, a lawyer in New Jersey working an asylum case with a client from Rwanda, CBS News fact-checking a report about the Sudan, NPR seeking a country expert on Zimbabwe, etc., as well as requests for translators or native speakers of many African languages. While we generally deal with these within the Council, I have been interested in building a university-wide contact database in order to improve and expand our knowledge base. If you are interested in being included in this database, please fill out the attached form and return it to me at your convenience. The information will not be published but unless you specifically request that contact be through the Council, your information may be provided to callers and they may contact you directly.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Thank you for your assistance in this project!

Best regards,

Lora M. LeMosy
