Meals with LifeHaven LifeHaven is a transitional shelter for women and their children in the fairhaven area of New Haven. Luther House cooks and serves a meal there once a month, and eats with the people who live in the shelter. This is a way for Luther House to not only serve the greater community, but be a part of it. This time also serves as a reminder for the ever-busy student that there is life beyond the classroom, and reinforces the need to look beyond ourselves into greater ministry with our community. Breaking bread together is a way for us all to be reminded of Jesus's emphasis on community meals as an expression of our faith in one another. [ WORSHIP ] [ MISCELLANEOUS ] |
