Women's Spirituality Bible Study

Women's Spirituality Bible Study will continue this year,
Thursdays 9:15pm in da hauzz

Our new seminarian Marissa will lead this year's Women's group. In the past, our women's group has been a chance near the end of the week to catch our breath, be together, think about how we live in faith, and reflect on whatever relationship we have (or may not have) with God. We usually start with 5-10 minutes of silence or guided meditation. Some weeks we have proceeded with a standard Bible Study -- looking at either the Gospel appointed for the coming Sunday, or exploring stories from the Hebrew Bible. Other weeks, we have explored our faith in more, non-traditional ways. Last semester, our "faith exploration" included singing hymns, doing yoga, experimenting with liturgical dance, journaling, and lots of lively discussions. We usually close our time in prayer. Our Yale academics provide us unparalleled opportunity for intellectual development; our group seeks to carve out time and space for our spiritual development as well. This year's format is open to discussion, we hope to expand and explore faith in many new and exciting ways!
