Moving, shipping, and postal info
All Yale affiliated persons, whether you live on or off-campus, can sign up in advance for a post office box at Yale Station, 206 Elm Street, a full-service United States Postal Service (USPS) Office on the corner of High Street (old campus). You can receive mail in your box and USPS packages at the service window. For information or to request a form, contact the Postmaster at 203.773.3454 or Yale Station, New Haven, CT 06520. You may need to provide a copy of your letter of admission or appointment at Yale, as Yale station only serves Yale affiliates.
Yale College students living in residential colleges receive packages at Yale Station. Residential Colleges coordinate bulk package service at the beginning and end of each academic year.
Graduate students residing in on-campus dormitories should arrange for a Yale Station post office box to receive packages. Packages and personal mail should not be addressed to one’s dorm or academic department, as these offices cannot provide security for packages.
