In addition to Yale, the greater New Haven area has several fine colleges and universities, both public and private/independent. Faculty, staff, graduate/professional students, and/or family members may consider enrolling in higher education courses at these institutions for personal enrichment or to pursue a degree. Most are accessible by public transit bus and by car.
