if you have a system you want Linux or *BSD installed on, be sure to bring
the whole machine (including monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.) We can
preserve your Windows setup while still allowing you to run unix, so don't
feel pressured into choosing one or the other. You can have both!

also remember to make backups of any important data before you attend,
just in case!

if i remember right, the first so many people get free disks of some linux
distribution. i think it depended on whatever they could get the linux
distibuters to donate. there's a good chance someone there will have a CDR to
make copies for people. so i don't really know, i haven't had much time lately
