I should have been more clear, I dialed into my local isp which BTW just
has a login prompt for PPP(no PAP) and then I telnetted to my machine at
yale. This lets me remote control my machine at yale for free..kinda neat.
By dialing into your machine at yale do you mean dialing to your box which
has a modem or do you mean dialing into the yale PPP service? If you are
having trouble setting up ppp I can help I've played around with it alot
especially when I started with linux over the summer, all I had for
internet was PPP.
