A start of a web page is up at http://www.yale.edu/linux-list . There is
an archive of the messages sent to the list so far, so those of you who
joined late can take a look at what went on before. The archive gets
updated every night at 3:30 AM. There are also some links to linux-related
web sites. Please email me suggestions for more.

Also, by the way, I took Collin/Matt's suggestion and tried StarOffice.
The installer program actually crashed X, and killing it remotely didn't
even help. So, for the second time since I've been running linux, I was
required to reboot. Just a side story. I'll try the installer again.

It is conceivable that one day, computers will be better than humans at
nearly everything. I can imagine that a person might someday have a
computer for a best friend. That will be sad--like having a dog for your
best friend but even sadder.
