Thanks for all the suggestions. Yes, all the partitions are beyond the
1024th cylinder. The laptop has a Xircom Realport Ethernet 10/100 + 56
Modem pcmcia card whose drivers are not listed in the CD installation.
Does anyone know if RH6.2 comes with the updated LILO that can boot from
beyond the 1024th cylinder. If so, I will just get it from Cheapbytes,
saving me a lot of headache because I could not figure out how to update
lilo after using the RH rescue disk and mounting the linux partitions.
