Well checking freshmeat I found also some other pppoe software:

I did it with the roaringpenguin one but it did not work right away
(first having to get the dos program to change the irq of the 3com
ethernet cards, etc. etc.), I suspect that it might be my old 2.2.5
Kernel, so I intend to update to the newest, which is a bit of a hassel
in with the 486. Is the login, just the name or does it also end with
@snet.com?
When I tried it it timed out :(
