This thread reminds me of something I did the other day. In a fit of
wonderful genius, I decided to run something like 'cat dev/console', which
of course completely disabled my keyboard. Nothing works when you do
that, not even a switch to a virtual console.
The mouse, however, was fine. So I su'd from another window (since I
obviously ran the idiotic command as root) and killed the 'cat' process --
ALL just with the mouse, by cutting and pasting individual keystrokes from
my open windows.
(I realized afterwards that the just closing the xterm window that I'd run
the process from would have been more effective... but not as much fun.)
